Battle of the Bands Press Release

This press release was part of a larger project that spanned two separate classes. The final project for my venue management class was to create some kind of performing arts venue. The venue I developed was the Typewriter Factory, a for-profit multi-space live music and event complex located in the Parkville neighborhood of Hartford, CT. I then used the same concept for my Writing for Arts and Entertainment class, which had multiple assignments built around a hypothetical organization. The assignments, which included an exercise in grant writing, were designed around a non-profit organization. So, I further developed an idea I had when first creating the Typewriter Factory: The Nutmeg State Battle of the Bands. This is the press release for the hypothetical evnent.
